So here we are on another rollercoaster ride towards autumn. The leaves are beginning to turn & the nights are drawing in. I find myself at a point of change as do many others I know.
My daughter will be starting school, my house is up for sale, I am clearing emotionally as well as phsyically at the moment. One thing that I noticed the other day was the cars that were driving at break-neck speed to get to a destination & it made me think to myself, if that's how they drive, do they spend their lives in exactly the same manner, going about their whole day at break-neck speed, not stopping to take life on board!? Well, enjoy that life because, trust me, they will be seeking help at somekind of clinic sooner than you can say Betty Ford! And is it worth it? Probably not. If you even have to ask that question then you know what your answer is. Have a look around. Take time to meditate. I always get so much useful info when I do connect in. The angels & guides always have loads to tell us if we'd only stop & listen. (This being more of a reminder to myself to be honest!) And a good way to be able to keep up your vibrational level is to connect with others you know who are like-minds. That's why I love facebook & the like so much. They help you stay 'topped up'! It's good for the soul. Well, that's me out for now. Enjoy the Autumn but don't forget what that word really means. Enjoy it. Take your time & relax &

Holiday Season! So, it's August & I feel a little ashamed at the fact that my last blog page was back in March of this year! Ooops! So much happening! As it's now August (Lammas Greetings to all!) I thought what better way than to spend a little of the holiday time in relfection of how this year has gone so far.
Well, first few months, wow, how hectic & frazzled did we all feel? It was like rabbit caught in headlights! We went on our amazing trip to Egypt, memories of which will stay with me forever. I've also done a lot of cleansing this year & this has helped me tremendously to see the light just that little bit clearer. Drumming! - Sacred Drumming Sounds each month is such a wonderous event! I am loving the energy we can create from our space at the Crystal Dragon. It just seems to go from strength to strength & it's amazing! Currently working on recording my chants & sacred songs! Finally, in the studio recording with the lovely Stuart Scott of spiritualstudio.com fame! I had to clear some negativity surrounding the fact I didn't believe I was worthy enough to be having my own Cd & once I'd done a little of that I sat there & said to myself, 'Heather, why are you holding yourself back? The time is now, just go for it!' & that is exactly what I am doing! Yeay! Hopefully looking to release in the Autumn sometime. A wonderful Solstice Event took place at the Quakers Meeting house in Reading which was done with the help of my lovely friends & fellow sound healers Melanie Diamond & Susi Micklethwaite. We'll be doing more of this lovely work again in the Autumn so do watch out for some dates. So, lots accomplished & yet, I feel, still so much to do! I'll be off on my holiday soon but I'm sure I'll have tales to tell of my trip to Glastonbury! All exciting. So, have a ponder, look back & give thanks & then look forward & just imagine how shiney the rest of the year will be! Love, light & Blessings, Heather Xx Recently I had a very profound message which was, 'Live without Fear'.
WOW! Many of us would be lost for words & down on our knees in humbled gratitude if the above did actually happen. It IS starting to happen. The uprising in places like Egypt & other middle eastern areas is that the people are suddenly awakening & standing up & saying, 'No! Why should we live in fear of the establishment?!' They are right, of course. However, the systems set up in these places are sometimes so corrupt that in order to break the fear they are having to prevoke change by using guns, fighting & pretty much creating all out revolutions. One day there will come a time when we can fight the fear with Love. Divine love, the purest, highest source connection that you can ever ascertain. I know many of you lightworkers out there are already fighting the good fight of 'fear' with love. But what is 'fear?' Fears are based on unsunstantiated worries & things that we are ignorant of. (Fear of the unknown.) We are all guilty of worrying at some time or another. Many of us are women & mothers & we naturally worry to help keep the children safe but should we not try to pour love into our hearts & into the hearts of those that worry, or, (in the greater scheme of things), into those hearts who have fear? Yes, of course we should. Is this an east thing to do? No. It is never east to quash your worries but recently, as many of you know, my family & I have been tested, to quite a degree & I have been truely humbled by the love & support that has flooded our way. For me & my many anxieties, (my Dad always said, 'Oh you're a born worrier you are!') this love is very, very welcome but I have to admit, sometimes I find it hard to accept this love in. Why? Because I feel in some way I don't derserve of it, yes, maybe, it's another one of my flaws (& to err is to be human people) but I am open to working on self love. 'Love thyself'. At which point you can then love one another (which we do very well indeed & it is a joy to see) so we, as lightworkers, can spread this love around. The more we spread, the more others will want to know about it. We ARE changing this planet. Slowly & for the greater good. So if we share & maximise this love enough then the governments MUST surely realise that they can no longer (as it's a pretty outdated type of thinking) govern by 'fear'. LOVE. That's all there is but it is all powerful & it WILL conquer all. (Believe.) Namaste. x X x Well, hello all & a belated congratulations to my brother & his wife as we welcomed Oscar Atlas into the world almost a month ago now! He is very cute & finally settling down for his family.
I wanted to write as I feel there is much disturbance going on in everyone's lives at the moment. Myself included. I am sure, for those who know me, you'll be aware of the distress of having to deal with quite a sick father-in-law, having builders right outside your door (& all the fun noise, dust & early morning wake-up calls that also entails!) & having a lack of movement because I managed to hurt my ankle (& ligaments) & it's taking ages to heal up. I sat last night feeling very alone in my own little drama of it all but after having lit a candle & put on some soothing music I was greeted by my power animals & told to stretch & breathe. It was almost as if they were saying, 'where've you been? We've been waiting for you.' I admit I am not the most diligent of beings when it comes to meditating &, as you all know, actually allowing for a little space & peace can be quite tricky a business because 'life' does seem to take over. I am also aware that, although it is hard, getting involved & allowing yourself to be consumed in these circumstancial situations is definitely not good health wise. Being able to share a little of the burden with friends (& I thanks those who have been there to listen to my rants, blessings kind ones, you know who you are! x x) has been a relief. However, being able to 'go within' & step inside yourself is a wonderful gift & something which seems to create so much peace. It is there that you are able to become humble. It is there you are able to become one with the divine. (I am reminded of this by visualising Jesus vividly whenever I do allow time to meditate) & it is there you can allow yourself to be suspended in time & supported by guides, beings & angels who always support you & never, ever let you down. I suppose this blog is much more of a reminder to myself that in order to gain strength, I must allow time to go within. I hope that you all will do yourself the very same kindness. Take care. Light & Blessings. Om Shanti X x I am very excited today to bring to you a guest blog from Emily Walsh, a proactive, passionate writer who believes we should be using alternative methods to help heal cancer sufferers. You can find more of her blogs here: http://em-musings.blogspot.com/
"The Path to Enlightened Healing Cancer. The world itself has been rated as one of the most negative in the English language, and the sound of the word can bring pangs of sadness to anyone who has been in the struggle or has witnessed a loved one battling the disease. Many of the aggressive forms of cancer such as mesothelioma have very grim prognoses and the mesothelioma life expectancy is low. Traditional medicines can go a long way in fighting the progression of the various forms of cancer, but they are not the only options. Surgery and chemotherapy are the two most popular procedures and often help to set the sufferer on the correct path of healing. Doctors often recommend certain diets and exercise. Two often-neglected options, though, are sound and Reiki healing. When used with traditional methods of healing, these two techniques can help alleviate some of the side effects and symptoms experienced as a result of harsh treatments. Sound therapy is the scientifically tested method of using sonic vibrations to promote wellness in the human system. The use of music or singing as therapy can keep the patient's mind positive and active. Many sufferers fall into depression when they have cancer and must be treated by the often-painful processes of standard medicine, and sound therapy is a very effective, viable option to assist in meditation and other stress-reducing practices. This therapy is also extremely accessible to patients in various circumstances since sound is pain free and requires very little time. There is plenty more information that can be read at the following link. http://www.soundhealingcenter.com/explore.html Reiki healing is a powerful tool against any ailment, but should only be practiced by someone who has been certified. In this instance, a well-meaning person could cause more harm than good if they did not know exactly what they were doing. Reiki can be used on the cancer itself, the mind and spirit of the patient, the doctors to ensure they have the energy to do the procedures that are requested of them and even the family of the patient. Everyone can use a little strength during hard times and Reiki healing can provide that anchor. Reiki is such a powerful option that it can be performed from a distance. If the patient has been certified as Reiki level one or two, they can perform Reiki healing on their own body. Any additional help in the fight against aggressive cells helps immensely." Of course, a dose of Sound healing would also be extremely beneficial & combine that with Sound therapy & Reiki & you have a very powerful combination. This weekend I wended my way over to Bedford (M4, M25 & then M1 round trip) where I stayed with my fellow sound healer & friend, Kanti Freeman. Sat morning we awoke to a slighly cloudy day but were optimistic about the day ahead & what a wonderful day we had! We sang on the sanskrit note of 'Sah' & used our hands to focus the sound & interact with out own voices. Beautiful to sing all together in a group. One of my many loves!
We connected to the land, learnt how to heal the body & 'let go' with the help of our Gaia, our Mother Earth by lying face down in a field & then the power of the earth can heal all your chakra points. We 'walked the land'. A technique where a group of people walk in single file, following each others footprints. You look where you are walking all the time until the person at the front stops & then you can take in the breathtaking scenery around you & really appreciate what you are seeing. A raw food lunch which was very satisfying then led to more connecting to nature & this time we focused on an animal or tree very intently & asked a question for our own highest good & we were given our answers without prejudice. A fire ceremony Sat evening led to more singing & offerings to the Mother. Sunday we made a map of our own area. Where you live, including nature areas & water sources & were asked to focus on your land. Where would you like to go out to & sing? We learned to body dowse & followed a lay line through a field & then we were asked to pick a song to call in Spirit with the help of nature as our inspiration. What a beautiful weekend! So much learnt & it's given me a real incentive to go back out to the woods to get inspired to write something creative & magical! Watch this space! So whilst away, the whole weekend, I had spiders everywhere (!) so decided to look it up on the web. How true for me at the moment! "Spiders gifts include - creativity and weavers of fate, balance between past and future, physical and spirit, male and female. Spider is ...strength and gentleness combined, they awaken creative sensibilities, they are the keepers of the primordial alphabet and can teach you how to write creatively. Their bodies are shaped like the number 8 and they have 8 legs, symbolising infinite possibilities of creation. The 8 legs represent the 4 winds of change and the 4 directions of the medicine wheel." Basically, I can be as amazing a person as I want to be. The key is not to limit yourself with boundaries & then, oh, the possibilities! So Wednesday last week I did a talk on Sound healing at the very lovely Serenity Centre near Basingstoke. If you ever get the chance to go over there, do so because it really is a centre which has fantastic energy & great workshops happening at the moment. (Well done Helen, keep up the good work!) It really is facinating how Sound is so easily absorbed & how well it works on the body. It's all about vibration & keeping your body funtioning at it's own optimum frequency.
Then Friday I had the chance to go to the Celtic Manor in Newport. A 5 star spa with wonderful facilities with my sister for her 40th birthday treat! We treated ourselves to a Rassul! Anyone who doesn't know what one of these is, it's where you go inside a turkish styled room & slather yourself up in different muds. (& do pay attention at this point because we didn't & ended up with mud in all the wrong places I'm sure!) Then the steam comes in & you sweat out the impurities whilst the minerals from the mud are absorbed in. Then hot showers rain down from the ceiling & you wash yourself off. (My sister still had mud on her leg when we got out!) Lunch was next in a rather exclusive diners club area with a fantastic view of the valley around. (Rather healthy & yummy as well!) I then had a facial at 2.00pm & my sister had a full body treatment. Back to the pool & sauna & a spell in the jacuzzi & we were all done for the day. A great relax & highly recommened. They do good deals on the internet for treatments too. Another weekend & we were busy helping look after my sister's children whilst she went off to London to be wined & dined by hubby. It was the school fate! Charlie did two lots of steel drum playing which made me a very proud auntie indeed! It was well organised, with morris dancers (of which, yes, I admit I did have a go at!) & then there was a tank the kids could go & explore, bouny castle in the gym, tea & cake room as well as burgers & hotdogs. The day was blessed with good weather & the kids were a joy. (Apart from my own who seemed to be a little jealous of my spending time with the others! Mmm!) Yesterday we took the time to go to Avebury! One of those magical places where the vibe is just awesome! We had a great day & I took the time to meditate & sing into some of the stones. That was quite incredible. Some of them have very different pitches but once I'd got the right note, it really seemed to buzz with excitement! I was enveloped in a power vortex which rose up out of the ground & enveloped both me & the stones. I felt like the stones were giving me a virtual hug in gratitude afterwards. Wonderful day. Again, the kids were very well behaved. (Even mine was slightly less wingey!) Looking forward this week to the Drumming Circle on Wed which I've not run before, so quite excited! X x Ok, so I know what you're thinking, why is Heather blogging about Cheryl Cole?! Well, I do read the papers, occasionally & despite my better judgements, I do read some of those fashion mags as well sometimes. So I felt the need to back our Geordie’s corner after she was kicked out of the U.S Version of the X Factor. In the report, they were saying that the American's wouldn't understand her accent & they had her go to elocution lessons to help her stamp out her accent. Ridiculous! Anyway, they also said she'd put on weight & that against Paula Abdul she looked huge. Well, have you seen Paula Abdul?! The woman is teeny tiny. I would look like Giant Haystacks next to her! Then apparently, she wasn't promoting herself enough in the run-up to the show. i.e. she wasn't doing enough interviews etc. Cheryl has a team right? It's not all down to her to sort these things out! Her team were also failing her. Anyway, Simon should have been fighting her corner to get Fox TV to give her a second chance. Why on earth drag her all the way over there just to be humiliated if he didn't believe in her in the first place? The upshot of this is, if they'd wanted someone to sound more American & someone who was better known to the Americans why, for goodness sake didn't they just pick an American to do the job? No, instead they take poor Cheryl, who's had enough heartache in her life recently from Ashley & her malaria scare that she didn't really need this as well. Well, too bad U.S because she is a Geordie & she, undoubtedly, will be back in her own imitable style!
This morning I had the feeling I should be checking the weather forecast but I didn't have time to do it. Around 12.50pm it decides it's going to chuck it down and my little girl has no rain coat & neither do I for that matter. Luckily for me, my brother came into work with her raincoat in hand! (& when I went to the car, the heavens were nice to me & it was sunny :D) Anyway, the message of this is that when I have an intuitive moment, I have to listen to those inner voices & follow the world of synchronicity that surrounds me, otherwise I might miss something rather worldly & wise. This was obviously just a simple act of listening to help me with the showery weather but what if it had been something more than that? What if I'd have gotten one of my 'feelings' I needed to get in touch with someone that really needed my help? You mustn't ignore your inner feelings. Always trust your instincts because 9 times out of 10, they are right.
Here's another example. Last night I decided to have a bath & lit a candle & did a little meditation. The Angels & my guides were saying to me that I should not worry so much, that everything is as how it should be, that I will learn lots from something new on the horizon & just to let things happen & trust they will protect & guide me. I then later learned that someone's angel card reading said just that & she'd messaged about it on Facebook! How in tune was I last night!? So, I can do it. Perhaps I am becoming a lot more 'tuned in' than what I'd realised? Probably. I just need to focus on it & make it stronger now. Love & light to you all. X x So, went along to the Mind Body Spirit recenlty on the last Bank holiday & noticed how many leaflets were thrust into my hand without my opportunity to say politely, no thank you. There are a number of organisations who do not charge for their readings or services for the show, they are just happy to be there to promote their work but there's also a lot of others who are there purely to make some money. I grant you, you do need to make a profit, especially if it's your only means of making a living but I wonder how many of those are really 'coming from the heart' or how many are just purely in it because they know they can make good money at these shows?
I wasn't going to go this year but decided last minute that I would & met one of my good friends up there & also an old friend I used to know from my Medau training days. I also bought my sister a present for her 40th birthday, so it was worthwhile me going. One lady who was definitely singing from the heart was the rather beautiful Chakrini, who does Kirtan singing. http://www.chakrini.com/ Check out the website. She is on You tube as well but the clips on there don't really do her justice. Ironically, she was there promoting her new album but she won me over with her geniune love for her art & fantastic God-given voice, soaring up into the rooftop of the horticultural halls. Certainly highlight of my day. Enjoy the clips everyone. X x So today is the 25th of May & for some odd reason, Facebook says my birthday is today! I had loads of comments from people wishing me a wonderful birthday. Of course, I had to post back, stating it's not till next week & then some one said, 'well, why not have 2 birthdays?' This, of course, sounds like a great idea. However, I don't think 2 lots of massage for my birthday as a treat is really allowed!? Yes, I decided to treat myself for a neck, back & shoulder massage (all of my tense spots) with a nice lady who then wrote back to me & said, 'how wonderful is the universe Heather! I am really interested in sound healing & am definitely going to pick your brains when you're here!' It really does have a good way of bringing the right people together at the right time.
So, I posted back, saying what a lucky girl I was to have such lovely messages sent to me on my 'non-birthday!' Hopefully, all these lovely people will post again next Friday but maybe I was just in need of a bit of extra love this morning. I did have a weird dream which wasn't too pleasant so maybe the universe was trying to make up for that, and what a nice way to do it. So thank you Angels! Looking forward to my Toning & Sound Bath Session tonight in which we'll do some Native American chanting to go with the theme of the workshop I just did. In fact, did I post about the workshop? If not, that will also be on it's way shortly! Love & Blessings to all. Namaste! X This weekend just gone, I spent a lovely 2 days in the company of Simon Heather & the College of Sound Healing members learning a new type of shamanic healing which helps to remove negative energies & enterties from the body! You journey & ask your power animals to work on the client & then you drum in some positive energies back into the body. I love doing the Soul Retrieval work & this was just as powerful a healing. I lost something I've been trying to release for a long, long time! Was very vivid in front of my eyes what I was seeing & it then disappeared out of view.
We also learnt how to make shamanic prayer ties with tobacco. You intentionally say prayers & wishes into each coloured bundle you make (6 colours for the 4 directions, plus one for Grandfather Sky & Grandmother Earth) & then, once you have it ready you say your prayers holding each to your chakra points. After this, the prayers are inbedded into the tobacco. You then release the prayers on the smoke of the tobacco after it is thrown onto a fire as part of the fire ceremony. This was especially profound for me! Really felt like something was releasing & I was definitely letting go of my old belief systems that tend to hold me back. Fantasitc! It was a great weekend & in a lovely setting. The Barns Conference Centre is part of the Pett Trust in the Cotswolds. There are some great views around & it's worth taking time out of your schedule, like we did, to do a walk in the area. The staff are super & really look after you & the food was fantastic. All vegetarian of course but very tasty! We were treated to some lovely wheat & dairy free cake for afternoon tea as well! Thanks to Simon for organising such a lovely course. Well worth while & I am really glad I now have another type of healing to offer people. Tired but happy! :D x x So, another full moon is upon us today & with that comes the tension that is often associated with these events as well. I have definitely been feeling a little tense (& my Chiroprator & boss Steve can vouch for that!) of late. With the continuous shift of the 11th each month being felt quite keenly & it seems, not really any respite for us as we head on into the Wesak full moon this week. (Today in fact.) This is a celebration of the Buddha's birthday. Festivals & lanterns are ceremoniously lit & water is poured over the Buddha's shoulders as a reminder to purify us from our greed, hatred & ignorance. Gifts are also offered up to the Buddha as a symbal of respect & gratitude for his life & teachings.
So, what can we do when we're all feeling so tense & suddenly out of sorts? Just remember your ways of grounding. Use your crystals, mantras & meditation. Breathing techniques & stretching are all very important but the most important thing that you can do is offer support to one another. There's so much shifting & changing & new data being 'plugged' into us on an often daily basis it can be really hard on the physical & emotional to keep functioning! So, just by being there, acknowloging these events, offering a shoulder to cry on or a sympathetic ear can be so important at these times. You know you're not the only one out there feeling the same 'strange' occurrences as other 'sensatives'. If you choose to spread love & healing, then it really does sweeten all the 'tension'. Have a look at the moon tonight though & if you can, offer a prayer of thanks to the Buddha. Meditate if you get chance because you might just get some important info to take you through the next few months. Love, Light & Blessings - Namaste! Heather X x So I was reading on Facebook the other day about a comet called Elenin which has been passing close to the earth. So much so, that they believe this is what helped to create the earthquake in Japan. (The man said he was getting his information from a source from Nasa; who am I to disbelieve what he says.) As I was reading, it turns out that this comet is due to pass closer still later on this year & it may cause a cataclismic earthquake. So, this is all a bit doom & gloom isn't it? And I made a comment that if it was coming then if everyone would get together & send love & healing out into the world, one would hope we could prevent such a disater happening? Stranger things have happened. & Why wouldn't that work? We have witnessed amazing things in this world. We only have to think about Dr Emoto's water crystal research to know the power of words on this world. & what about Fabian Mamon's research into the use of intervals on cancer cells? We know & there is proof that simple things like positive words and sound can have a profound effect on us & the world around us, so maybe it would work on something coming towards us? Or maybe we could lessen the effects of what it's capable of doing? One way or another, I don't subscribe to the doom & gloom merchants hellbent on spreading fear & chaos. I'd rather choose faith & harmony anyday!
Well, what an amazing evening I was part of Saturday night. It began with a nightmare journey where the circle line was closed & I then ended up on the wrong tube & had to backtrack myself to get to where I was meant to be going! However, the universe had it planned that way & eventually I was sitting in Giraffe sharing lovely food with Kay, Mel, Bhavna, Katie & George (& another whose name escapes me!) We then made our way over to Logan Hall.
The energy was incredible. The place was filled with like-minded souls & that made the anticipation of them coming on stage even more heightened. What a voice she has! It's like listening to liquid gold! & she plays keyboards as if in a dream. Miten is a fantastic songwriter! & Manose, well, he's truely in a league all of his own. Just the way he owns & masterly plays his array of different flutes. What beautiful music was to be had. Interesting of all, sat in the row in front of us, was a man who was obviously suffering from some kind of mental disability. He was clapping really loudly & waving his arms in the air (like he was at some 90's rave party!) but really & truely, he was just so in awe & loving the music, he couldn't contain his excitement! I think it was a lesson in tolerance that we were learning. He wasn't harming anyone &, after the security man had a word with him, he calmed down to the point he wasn't bothering anyone. We just have to learn the truth & accept everyone in this world for who & what they are. After all, we would want people to do the same for us right? A beautiful evening & I'm thankful I was able to just be there to take part in it all. Om Shanti! x x |
